Mumbai, March 26 -- COMEX Copper futures surged to a record high as markets eyed the US tariffs on imports of the metal. CCOMEX Copper hit a record $5.37 per pound and is currently trading at around $5.27 per pound, up 1.28% on the day. The US President Donald Trump had told the Commerce Department to launch a probe into tariffs on copper last month. The red metal has spiked around 16% this month.
