Mumbai, Feb. 4 -- COMEX Copper futures edged up near one week high today as equities stayed supported in Asia and Europe. The metal currently trades up 0.44% at $4.32 per pound. Asian stocks rose as Japanese Nikkei average gained 0.72% after a tumble in last session. Markets in mainland China remained closed for the Lunar New Year holiday while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index jumped 2.80%. European stocks slumped with major indices losing around 2% as global trade fears weighed on the sentiments. Trade war worries hurt sentiments though the major US averages climbed well off their worst levels and ended in the red.
