Mumbai, Feb. 7 -- Working natural gas in storage across the United States decreased by 174 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in the week ending January 31 compared to the previous seven-day period to land at 2,397 Bcf, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) revealed in its report issued on Thursday. EIA data showed that year-on-year, the stockpiles declined by 8% or 208 Bcf. Compared to the five-year average of 2,508 Bcf, the figure fell by 4.4% or 111 Bcf. The total working gas is within the five-year historical range.
