Mumbai, May 5 -- According to a latest update from the US Geological Survey (USGS), domestic primary aluminum production in February 2025 was 52,000 metric tons (t). The average daily production in February 2025 was 1,850 t, unchanged from that in January 2025, 3% more than that in February 2024, and 3% less than that in February 2023. Total aluminum recovered from scrap in February 2025 was 321,000 t, 8% more than that in January 2025 (revised), 3% more than that in February 2024, and 14% more than that in February 2023. Of this, 184,000 t of aluminum was recovered from new scrap, and 137,000 t was recovered from old scrap.
