Mumbai, March 4 -- Precious metals speculators sharply cut their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 14499 contracts in the data reported through February 27, 2024. This was a weekly slide of 7878 net contracts and pushed up net longs after a sharp jump in the previous week.
