Mumbai, May 12 -- Precious metals speculators marginally cut their net long positions in the Silver futures markets further last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 49252 contracts in the data reported through May 6, 2025. This was a weekly drop of 691 net contracts and pulled down net longs from one month high.
