Mumbai, Jan. 12 -- Precious metals speculators continued to cut their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 29271 contracts in the data reported through January 6, 2026. This was a weekly fall of 792 net contracts and pulled net longs to around 22-month low.
