Mumbai, Nov. 18 -- COMEX Copper futures turned lower, sliding under $5 per pound and testing around one-week low amid tepid cues from equities. Asian stocks eased today. The Shanghai Composite fell 0.81%. Hong Kong Hang Seng Index lost 1.72%. Japanese stocks tanked as China issued travel warning for Japan over threats to intervene in Taiwan. Nikkei index lost 3.20%. European shares extended losses. Major indices lost around 1%. The US equities fell sharply yesterday. The Dow tumbled 1.2%, the Nasdaq slid 0.8% and the S&P 500 slumped 0.9%. Copper is currently trading at $4.97 per pound, down 0.63% on the day.
