Mumbai, March 5 -- Australia stock market finished in negative territory for a second straight session on Tuesday, 05 March 2024, with losses in financial, energy, and consumer related stocks overshadowed gains in healthcare and materials.

At closing bell, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was down 11.59 points, or 0.15%, to 7,724.20. The broader All Ordinaries index sank 8.20 points, or 0.1%, to 7,988.26.

Total 7 of 11 sectors were lower along with the S&P/ASX 200 Index. Health Care was the best performing sector, gaining +1%, followed by materials (up 0.56%).
