Nairobi, March 31 -- Central Bank of Kenya Governor Patrick Njoroge held his post-Monetary Policy Committee press conference on Thursday, briefing journalists on the bank's decision to lift the benchmark lending rate by 75 basis points this week.

The decision has signalled the banking industry to raise the cost of loans.
