Nairobi, April 1 -- Budget carrier Jambojet, on Monday, opened up 1,000 tickets for sale at a discounted rate of Sh10 as part of celebrations to mark its tenth anniversary.

Jambojet Managing Director Karanja Ndegwa said that the tickets would be for one-way flights on select flights to various local destinations.

The promotion that also aims at wooing more travellers to fly with the carrier will apply to flights from April 8 to 26.

At 10 for a one-way air ticket, this means that a Jambojet ticket for a route such as Nairobi-Mombasa that would ordinarily sell at Sh8,500 on a weekend will save travellers Sh8,490.
