Srinagar, Jan. 31 -- Army on Thursday foiled an infiltration attempt by a group of terrorists along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.Officials said Army men deployed at the LoC picked up the movement of the terrorists trying to sneak into this side from across the LoC in Khari Karmara area in Poonch."The army men fired on the infiltrating terrorists. The fire was returned by the terrorists, leading to a gunfight. The heavy exchange of gunfire between the two sides was going on," they said.They said at least two terrorists have been killed in the encounter.However, there has been no official confirmation yet.Reinforcements have been rushed to the scene with thick foliage and a search operation is underway, ...
