Srinagar, Jan 27, Jan. 27 -- SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir, Ravinder Paul Singh, along with senior traffic officials, inspected the Qazigund sector to assess road conditions amid heavy snowfall and monitor snow clearance on NH-44, focusing on Vessu, Levdora, and Qazigund-Banihal tunnel areas. Officials reported around 10 inches of snow in Nowgam, with clearance operations ongoing but slowed by weather. SSP Singh emphasized public safety, coordinated efforts with NHAI and RAMKY, and strengthened traffic regulation at critical points to prevent accidents and congestion. Motorists were urged to avoid travel until official clearance and follow traffic advisories from Traffic Headquarters J&K.
