Srinagar, Feb 3, Feb. 4 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has mandated that all tourism stakeholders-including hoteliers, houseboat owners, shikarawalas, travel operators, and allied service providers-obtain registration or renew licences under the JK Registration of Tourist Trade Act, along with multiple NOCs from relevant departments. The requirement, disclosed in a written reply to MLA Sheikh Ahsan Ahmed Pardesi in the Legislative Assembly, applies to hotels, guest houses, and houseboats, which must also secure approvals from the Pollution Control Committee/Board, Fire and Emergency Services, and the Building Permission Issuing Authority.Currently, the registration and renewal process is conducted online via the Tourism Department po...
