Srinagar, June 26 -- Minister for Education, Social Welfare and Health, Sakeena Itoo, chaired a high-level review meeting at the Civil Secretariat to assess the performance of the School Education Department (SED). The meeting was attended by Secretary SED Ram Niwas Sharma, Directors of School Education (Kashmir/Jammu), CEOs, and senior officials.The Minister evaluated key performance indicators including learning outcomes, teacher performance, infrastructure readiness, HR management, and implementation of schemes like Samagra Shiksha, PM-POSHAN, PM-SHRI, and the New India Literacy Programme (NILP).She stressed the need for transparency, accountability, and outcome-based strategies to improve education quality.
