Srinagar, Feb. 25 -- In a major enforcement action, the team from Enforcement South Kashmir of State Tax Department has realized a huge penalty of Rs 11,18,068 from a tax payer carrying rigid tubes, pipes, hoses, and fittings made of propylene polymers in violation of GST regulations. Acting on specific intelligence input, the enforcement team laid a special Naka and intercepted a vehicle in violation of GST norms by passing fake Input Tax Credit (ITC) without actual movement of goods in which 03 taxpayers were involved. During investigation it was found that a Delhi based firm generated 02 e-invoices and E-Way bills worth Rs 73,29,554 in favour of two taxpayers but was carrying goods of Rs 36,64,777 only.
