Srinagar, July 1, July 2 -- As Kashmir is witnessing persistent hot and humid conditions, Srinagar has recorded its hottest June since 1978 - making it the second hottest June ever recorded since temperature observations began in 1892.According to independent weather observer, Faizan Arif, the average maximum temperature forJune 2025 stood at 31.0degC, while the mean minimum settled at 18.2degC, resulting in an overall average temperature of 24.6degC.The only hotter June on record for the city was in 1978, when the overall average temperature reached 25.0degC, driven by a higher mean maximum of 32.9degC, though the mean minimum that year was lower at 17.1degC, he said.Interestingly, 2008 still holds the record for the highest mean minimum...
