Srinagar, Dec. 16 -- Bishimbar Nagar area of Srinagar is facing an acute water shortage, with locals complaining that water is supplied only three times a week for about an hour each time. Residents alleged that the situation is being worsened by dozens of nearby hotels that use electric motors to draw water directly from supply lines, drastically reducing pressure for households.Locals said families are struggling to meet basic daily needs and are often forced to store water or arrange private tankers. They have appealed to the authorities to curb illegal motor usage by commercial establishments and ensure equitable water distribution
