Srinagar, July 27 -- Marking the 26th anniversary of India's victory in the Kargil War, a solemn wreath-laying ceremony was held at the War Memorial in Rangapahar Military Station, Nagaland. The tribute, organised by Spear Corps of the Indian Army, honoured the courage, sacrifice, and indomitable spirit of the Kargil heroes who laid down their lives defending the nation in 1999.Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Spear Corps, led the commemorative event, joined by two prominent veterans from Nagaland - Lt Col Imti Maken (Retd), an 84-year-old war veteran, and Honorary Captain Imli Akum, MVC (Retd), a decorated hero of the Kargil War.The event commenced with a traditional military homage as the thre...
