Srinagar, Jan. 28 -- The end of the dry spell and snowfall in upper reaches including the famous tourist resort of Gulmarg has ignited hope for tourism and farming revival in the Valley.

Gulmarg and some other upper reaches of the Valley received light snowfall yesterday and the Meteorological department has predicted more spells of snow (moderate to heavy) in the upper reaches and plains from tomorrow till February 3.The absence of snow had affected winter tourism in Gulmarg and other places as the snowless famed tourist destinations had disappointed the tourists.This absence of snow also disrupted major skiing events and impacted seasonal courses offered by various educational institutions in the region.Hotel occupancy in Gulmarg and o...
