Srinagar, April 15 -- Srinagar Police on Monday informed to have set up women help desks in all police stations across the district, in a bid to ensure safety and security of female gender. "As part of its commitment to effectively curb crimes against women, Srinagar Police has instituted Women Helpdesks in Police Stations and Mobile Women Safety Squad for the protection of girls and women in public spaces with the aim to prevent and eliminate instances of harassment, even-teasing and unsolicited comments in such public spaces," reads a statement issued to news agency Kashmir Bulletin.
