Srinagar, April 17 -- After days of downpour, the rains relented on Tuesday, bringing much needed relief to the residents of Valley. The incessant rainfall since Saturday drenched the valley, bringing down the temperature. A MeT official said in last 24 hours Srinagar recorded rainfall of 28.3mm, Qazigund 44.2mm, Pahalgam 39.0mm, Kupwara 28.6mm, Kokernag 28.9mm, Gulmarg 32.8mm, Jammu 87.4mm, Banihal 38.0mm, Batote 40.6mm, Katra 64.0mm, Bhaderwah 27.8mm and Kathua 12.4mm rainfall. Due to the incessant rains, many low-lying areas in Srinagar and other parts of the Valley were waterlogged.
