Srinagar, Dec. 9 -- Protests erupted at the Maternity and Child Care Hospital (MCCH) Anantnag following the death of 24-year-old Khushboo Jan after delivery, with family and locals alleging medical negligence. The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered a formal inquiry into the incident. Khushboo Jan, wife of Zubair Ahmed Bhat of Pushwara Khanabal, was admitted on Saturday for delivery. She underwent a surgical procedure and was shifted to the ward, but her condition reportedly worsened within hours.
