Srinagar, April 18 -- In a significant breakthrough, Police in Handwara have successfully solved a handbag snatching case by arresting an accused person and recovered stolen gold from his possession. On April 15, 2025, Police Station Handwara received a written complaint from one lady (name withheld) resident of Waghat Palpora, Magam. The complainant reported that while she was in Handwara market, she was followed by an unknown person who later snatched her handbag (which contain gold ornaments) near the New Bus Stand Handwara and fled from the scene.
