Srinagar, March 24 -- Police have conducted a search at the house of Democratic Freedom Party member for association with a banned organization in Handwara sub district of Jammu and Kashmir.The Government of India had in October 20a3 declared 'Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party' (JKDFP) as an 'Unlawful Association' under Section 3(1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) 1967.Police said as part of continuing efforts to tighten the noose around anti-national elements, they conducted a search at the residence of a DFP member Farooq Ahmad Dar of Turpora, Handwara, for his association with a banned organization."Acting on reliable information, a police team raided the house of Farooq Ahmad Dar late last evening.
