Bandipora, Feb 12, Feb. 13 -- Continuing its crackdown on drug trafficking, Bandipora Police attached a three-story house with an attic belonging to notorious drug peddler Mohd Shafi Sheikh of Ward No. 5, Sheikh Mohalla, under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, 1985. The property was identified as illegally acquired from narcotic drug trafficking during investigations linked to FIR Nos. 110/2022 and 183/2022. The peddler, previously detained at Kot Bhalwal Jail under the PIT-NDPS Act, has since been released.The operation highlights J&K Police's commitment to combating the drug menace, with locals appreciating the move to seize assets gained through illicit activities.
