Srinagar, Oct. 18 -- As part of its sustained efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, J&K Police have arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession. A police party of Police Station Kunzer at a checkpoint established at Manglora Crossing intercepted a suspicious person identified as Irfan Rashid Zargar son of Ab Rashid resident of Chewa Budgam. During his personal search, charas-like substance weighing approximately 26.5 grams concealed in a polythene bag was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and a case vide FIR No. 115/2025 under sections 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kunzer, and investigation has been taken up.J&K Police reiterates its c...
