Srinagar, Jan. 15 -- As part of its ongoing enforcement against narcotic offences, police have arrested two drug peddlers in Pulwama and Sopore and recovered contraband substances from their possession. In Pulwama, a police team from Police Post Newa during naka checking at Newa intercepted a suspicious person. During search, 70.5 grams of charas powder-like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Samir Ahmad Wagay son of Bashir Ahmad Wagay resident of Wahibug. Similarly in Sopore, during naka checking at Parray Mohallah Hygam, a police party intercepted a suspicious person who tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
