Srinagar, Dec. 24 -- In a continued drive against drug abuse, Police in Ganderbal have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession. A Police team of PS Kheerbawani at a checkpoint established at Central University, Tullamulla Road, intercepted a vehicle (Maruti-800) bearing registration No. JK01U-3866 with two persons on board. They have been identified as Showkat Ahmad Bhat son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat and Sameer Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Muzaffar Bhat, both residents of Batwina, Ganderbal. During search, Heroin-like substance was recovered from their possession.
