Srinagar, Feb. 10 -- Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, police have arrested 02 drug peddlers in Budgam and recovered contraband substance from their possession. A police party of Police Station Beerwah headed by ASI Mohammad Shafi at a checkpoint established near Larbal bridge intercepted two suspicious persons, who on seeing the police party, threw a green-coloured polythene bag on the roadside and tried to flee from the spot but were apprehended tactfully. During checking the said bag, charas like substance in powdered form weighing about 575 grams was recovered.
