Srinagar, June 5 -- The Union Ministry for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj has granted a further extension of 15 days for the Awaas 2024 survey under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), extending the deadline from May 31 to June 18, 2025.This marks the third extension by the Centre, with the original deadline of March 31, 2025, first extended to April 30, then to May 31 and now to June 18.The move aims to ensure comprehensive coverage, especially in remote and snowbound regions where completing the survey has proven challenging.The extension was granted in response to a formal request made by the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.Accordingly, the Competent Authority in the Department of Rural Development has approved an...
