Srinagar, Nov. 24 -- The debate over the enforced use of JKBOSE textbooks in private schools has escalated into a full-blown crisis of educational direction in Jammu & Kashmir. What began as a regulatory exercise has now turned into a battle over the future of thousands of young learners and many fear the UT's children are being pushed backward under the guise of "uniformity." Regulatory bodies continue to insist on absolute compliance, even going as far as threatening the cancellation of affiliations. Yet the question remains unanswered: compliance with what?
