Srinagar, Sept. 30 -- Police Station Nowhatta received a written complaint from Mohammad Yousuf Rather, son of Ab. Gaffar Rather, resident of Wantpora, Rajouri Kadal, to the effect that some unknown persons had broken into his house during his absence, ransacked the house and made away with several gold items, valued in lakhs of Rupees. Taking cognizance of the matter, Police Station Nowhatta registered a case under FIR No. 51/2025, under sections 305 and 331 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and initiated a thorough investigation.A Special Investigation Team (SIT), headed by the Station House Officer (SHO) Nowhatta, was constituted to investigate the case.
