Srinagar, Jan. 27 -- Shab-e-Meraj, also known as Lailat al-Mi'raj, is one of the most sacred nights in the Islamic calendar, commemorating the miraculous journey of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to the heavens. According to Islamic tradition, the Prophet was transported from the Kaaba in Mecca to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and then ascended to the heavens, where he met various prophets and was granted the command of five daily prayers for Muslims.
