Srinagar, Oct. 24 -- A major boost to sports infrastructure in North Kashmir is on the horizon as the construction of a modern football turf ground at Azadgunj, Baramulla, is nearing completion. The project, funded by the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council at a cost of Rs.5.9 crore, has reached 95% completion and is expected to be fully ready within the next 2-3 weeks. Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, confirmed the update in a statement to Daily Brighter Kashmir, expressing optimism about the facility's timely inauguration.
