Srinagar, Nov. 29 -- In a landmark step towards strengthening operational logistics in the High Altitude Areas of Ladakh, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, inaugurated the Indian Army's first-of-its-kind Project Sena Sarthi at Leh today. The project marks a major leap in enhancing strategic fuel storage capabilities in the Kargil Sector Project Sena Sarthi developed in collaboration with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), includes the commissioning of advanced underground fuel, oil, and lubricant (FOL) storage facilities designed specifically to withstand the extreme climatic and geographical challenges of the region.
