Srinagar, March 2 -- Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, the Legal Metrology Department J&K, under the supervision of Controller Legal Metrology Anuradha Gupta, has intensified market inspections across various districts to ensure compliance with the Legal Metrology Act and other regulations.Enforcement teams conducted inspections in multiple locations including Jammu, Doda, Rajouri, Srinagar, Kulgam and Bandipora.In Doda, a joint inspection was carried out in coordination with the district administration, covering around 40 traders. In Srinagar, LMD teams inspected Batmalloo and Tengpora areas, imposing and collecting penalties amounting to Rs.6,000 from offenders on the spot.
