Kupwara, Jan 23, Jan. 23 -- Police rescued a woman in Sheenipora, Vilgam, amid heavy snowfall on Friday. Unable to use vehicles due to snow-covered paths, officers, with help from locals, carried her on a charpai through difficult terrain to Vilgam Hospital for urgent treatment. Officials said the timely action prevented a medical emergency, and the woman's condition is stable. Police urged residents to seek immediate help during adverse weather and assured that rescue teams remain on alert across the district.
