Srinagar, Nov. 17 -- Temperatures across the Kashmir Valley and Jammu region have dropped significantly, signaling the onset of colder winter conditions. At popular hill stations, Pahalgam recorded a minimum of -3.8degC, while Gulmarg registered 0.5degC, indicating early frost in higher altitudes. In the Jammu region, Jammu city saw a low of 10.2degC, Katra 9.5degC, Batote 2.9degC, and Bhaderwah 1degC. Officials from the Meteorological (MeT) Department said the minimum temperatures are expected to fall further in the coming days, especially in the Valley, with cold waves likely to intensify.
