Srinagar, Dec. 7 -- As winter approaches, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg - three of Kashmir's most iconic tourist destinations - are quietly gearing up for a possible comeback after a deeply troubled 2025 Early snowfall and forecasts of winter snow have rekindled hope. Tourism stakeholders say that powdery slopes and alpine terrain might draw back snow sports lovers and winter seekers. The local administration has reopened several previously closed sites - as many as 16 tourist destinations across Kashmir were reopened this year after being shut post attack.
