Jammu, Feb 16, Feb. 17 -- The J&K government announced a survey on drug abuse in 10 districts, alongside launching the "Circle of Care" programme to deploy de-addiction counsellors in every village. Minister for Health Sakina Itoo said 600 counsellors have been trained, and the government plans to expand inpatient addiction treatment and long-term rehabilitation facilities. J&K currently has 21 functional Addiction Treatment Facilities, providing 1.5 lakh patient consultations.
