Srinagar, Oct. 10 -- The Mantaqi Centre for Science & Society (MCSS) at the Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) organised a special session on An Integrated Approach to Research in Environmental Biomonitoring with Special Reference to South and South-East Asia by Prof Zeba Farooqi, and Head, Environmental Biomonitoring Research Unit (EBRU), De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines. Dr. Farooqi discussed issues of e-waste and metal pollution in the Philippines and drew parallels with contamination concerns in the Kashmir Valley.
