Srinagar, Sept. 19 -- A team of 11 Indian climbers associated with a club in Bengal has created history by climbing Mt Monto group of peaks unguided and unsupported. Mt. Monto group of peaks consist of 4 peaks and are located in South East Ladakh region near Korzok village and approx. 55 km from the roadhead (Kiyang dum) near the south end of Tso Moriri Lake.The team lead by well known mountaineer Rudra Prasad Halder and deputy leader Satyarup Siddhanta a world record holder mountaineer earlier has climbed some real tough peaks in Indian Himalayas like Mt Brammah in Kistwar (first Indian ascent), Mt Gupt Parvat (first ascent) and Mt Indrasan in Himachal Pradesh and many more which had earned them respect in the indian mountaineering commu...
