Srinagar, Aug. 30 -- The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is a statutory body established by the Government of India and came into effect from 13th February, 1986. The Authority replaced the Processed Food Export Promotion Council (PFEPC). Its main mandate is to promote the export of agricultural and processed food products from India. APEDA acts as a bridge between Indian farmers/exporters and global markets by supporting them with promotion, quality certification, infrastructure, capacity building, and financial incentives.
