Srinagar, July 24 -- The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours, particularly across several districts in Jammu division, raising the risk of flash floods, landslides, and waterlogging in low-lying areas. Dr Mukhtar Ahmad, Director of the Meteorological Department, said that light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are likely at many places on Thursday, with intense showers and isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall expected in Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban, Reasi, Udhampur, Jammu, and Kathua districts.In an advisory issued by the department, people have been cautioned about the potential for flash floods in vulnerable areas, landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones, especially along hilly t...
