While most fruits become costly or even disappear in the valley due to the harsh season and frequent suspension of the National Highway-the main route that connects Kashmir with other states-orange remains widely available and affordable. In winter, our diet in Kashmir often shifts toward red meat, mutton, chicken, fish, cereals, and other heavy foods. Though nourishing, overconsumption of these items can lead to fat accumulation and health problems.
