Srinagar, Dec. 28 -- Hazrat Khwaja Moin-ud-Din Chishti Rahmatullah Alaihi, also known as Sultan-ul-Hind, Khwaja Gharib Nawaz, is one of the great Sufi saints of the Indian subcontinent. He was born in 1141 AD in the city of Sistan in Iran (which was then called Sanjar near Khorasan). His full name was Moin-ud-Din Hasan Chishti Sanjari. His lineage is traced back to the Hasani and Hussaini Sadats, meaning he belonged to the family of Hazrat Ali Karamullah Wajjo and the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
