Srinagar, Nov. 2 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government has stated that drinking water and irrigation facilities in several parts of Hazratbal constituency, including Tailbal, Khimber, Chandpora, Shalimar Gasoo, Faquir Gujree and Chatterhama, are functioning satisfactorily, though temporary shortages occur due to misuse of water by locals. In a written reply to a question by MLA Salman Sagar, the Jal Shakti Department clarified that these areas are supplied water through existing infrastructure but face disruptions during the peak season because of non-domestic usage such as vehicle washing, gardening, and construction.The department said that a 60,000-gallon Overhead Tank (OHT) sourced by a tube well currently serves Tailbal, and a new OHT ...
