Srinagar, Aug. 15 -- In a key move to bolster disaster preparedness and response in Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting to review the implementation of the Incident Response System (IRS), a structured and standardized framework designed to replace ad-hoc disaster response mechanisms with a coordinated, accountable, and efficient model.The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary DMRR&R, Principal Secretary PWD, Director General Fire & Emergency Services, Commissioner Secretaries of FCS&CA and Information Department, Secretary Transport, Director Information, DG Codes, DG Budget, and other senior officers.
