Srinagar, March 18 -- The doctors pursuing MD/MS from J&K Medical Colleges may soon have to sign a mandatory service bond, on the same pattern as is applicable in most medical colleges across India.This was stated by Minister for Health and Medical Education, Sakeena Masood in reply to a question in the Legislative Assembly today.The minister said doctors, who secure postgraduate courses from J&K medical colleges, are funded by the J&K exchequer."They earn degrees on the money of our people," she said.She stressed that these doctors must also give something in return to the people of J&K."We have examined the rules and soon they will need to serve in J&K for two years, like it is mandatory in other medical colleges of India," she said.The...
